FAQ
1. Do I and my clinic team have to be trained in Infection Control, OSHA, and HIPAA?
- Yes. Almost all states’ boards of dental examiners require you to have a minimum number of Hours of CDE in Infection control per year. It is your responsibility to check into your state’s requirements on their website. Further, whenever there are changes to the Recommendations or Guidelines, training must be completed in the prescribed time as required by your state’s dental boards. It is required by OSHA to have an initial comprehensive training and thereafter annually or when new rules are introduced. HIPAA training is required by the Health and Human services (Office of Civil Rights) initially (within 90 days of employment nationally, but within 60 days in the State of Texas), followed by training once every two years or when rules change.
- Some states have their own State OSHA Plans, therefore, please look into whether your state’s OSHA training is required.
2. Are ToothCE’s programs approved in my state?
ToothCE is an approved (nationwide) AGD PACE Provider for CE and the CDE can also be used for the AGD’s FAGD and MAGD tracks. It is your responsibility to check whether ToothCE or any other provider is approved. We are required by the AGD PACE program in providing and informing about our approval status and duration on our website and in our advertisements.
3. How many CE credits are included in the Group Plan?
- The total CE credits available in the bundled group plan is up to 8 Hours of CDE-We have a 4 Hour Comprehensive Infection Control Program and a 2 Hour Infection Control Program. (The 4-hour program was made to be sufficient for most states that have License renewal every two years. The 2-hour program was for states that have an annual renewal of the license).
- You may choose any of these Infection Control programs. Irrespective of which program you choose (the 4-hour or the 2-hour) the cost is the same on the purchase of the bundle.
- Either the 4-Hour Infection Control or the 2-Hour infection control program can be bundled with the 2-Hour OSHA and the 2-Hour HIPAA programs.
4. Can my team complete this training at their own pace, or do they need to do it together?
- They can view all these self-paced/self-learning programs individually on their cell phones, tablets, or computers, or they can view them as a group on a large screen. After viewing, each person must INDIVIDUALLY LOGIN into the system on to their own dashboard within the system, to take and pass a test for each of the programs (Infection Control, OSHA, and HIPAA), to obtain the Completion Certificate/Attendance Verification in obtaining the required CDE
- Please follow the Honor Code and do not get help from other clinic members in taking the test. Also, do not help others by providing answers while they are taking the test. Each person MUSTÂ take the test on their own and obtain a passing grade
- If you do not understand a subject-related matter, please go over it again till you learn. If still not satisfied, please contact us at contact@toothce.com (we should get back to you within 24-48 hours).
5. Is there a limit to the number of team members who can take this training?
There is no limit to the number of team members registering and taking our programs. Our platform is robust and can handle hundreds of people viewing the programs and/or taking the test at the same time. The cost per person/member is the same, as it is calculated at $45.00 per person. For larger groups, Federally Qualified Health Center Dental Clinics (FQHCs), Clinics that are Non-Profit that provide care for underserved populations, Multiple clinics under the same parent organization/Owner, Dental Service Organizations or Dental Support Organizations (DSOs), Dental Societies, Associations, and Study Clubs, please email us at contact@toothce.com or schedule a meeting on Calendly https://calendly.com/dr-raghu-puttaiah to discuss.
