The ToothCE comprehensive training program makes the confusing information user friendly and more meaningful to dentistry as opposed to most other OSHA Training programs. We cover Background and inspections, building and equipment safety, Bloodborne pathogen standards and finally the Hazard Communication Standards in conjunction with the globally harmonized system. We address the history of OSHA, cover examples of published investigations of dental clinics on the osha.gov website, citations and fines. While the risk of your clinic being inspected is very low, it is still important to adhere to osha?s rules and regulations. We address building, equipment and fire safety.
Do?s and don?ts with respect to compressed gases. Emergency eyewash station installation and maintenance. Appropriate selection of step ladders and radiation safety. A comprehensive module on bloodborne pathogen standards specific to dentistry.
Hazard communications standards and the recently introduced Globally harmonized system along with an exercise in understanding the labeling system. We use a step-by-step process in covering meaningful items in learning osha?s rules and regulations and make it simple in translating it into practice.
