Raghunath Puttaiah

Dr. Raghu Puttaiah, a dentist, completed an MPH and Residency at University of Alabama at Birmingham and was the first recipient of the Johnson & Johnson Medical Inc. Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Infectious Disease Control in Dentistry Award at UTHSC-SA Dental. He is a retired tenured Professor in Public Health Sciences at Texas A&M College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, USA in 2019.

Dr. Puttaiah has developed all his training materials, some of which are being used by other trainers within the United States and Worldwide. He also crafted the Dental Safety Standards for India which was released by the Hon. Prime Minister of India.

He has helped the Russian Federation formulate Dental Safety Standards. He has conducted over 130 research projects funded by industry and NIH/NIDCR SBIR Grants, presented over 130 original research abstracts and published book chapters(7), research papers (32), review papers, and regular columns on Dental Infection Control. He is an ad hoc reviewer for the Journal of the American Dental Association, Journal of Dental Education among many, is the Editor-At-Large for the Journal of Contemporary Dental Practice, and a grant reviewer for HRSA and PCORI. He has been a consultant for over 25 dental industries.

Dr. Puttaiah has been an invited/keynote speaker on dental infection control and safety in the United States, India, Mexico, United Kingdom, Taiwan, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, India , Russia, Italy, Jamaica, China and the Middle-East. He has developed comprehensive and practical programs on Dental Infection Control, OSHA and HIPAA for dental offices. He is a Fellow/Scientific Director for Infection Control and Safety at the International College of Dentists (ICD) and provides Infection Control & Antimicrobial Stewardship Training to ICD Fellows worldwide. He is also an adjunct professor at Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences in India. His role in this effort is in providing meaningful and applications-based training programs in Infection Control, OSHA & HIPAA for the Dental Team.

Vishal Sood, an Enterprise Architect, completed his master’s degree (MS) in Computer Science from University of Massachusetts and has numerous architect and developer certifications from IBM, Sun, Amazon and Oracle. Currently he oversees the IT and Technology Group at Kprise Technologies, with full responsibility for technical direction and strategy for company and its clients.

He is an experienced, hands-on software architect involved in the architecture, design, implementation of microservices architectures, service-oriented architectures, and distributed systems. He has been in the software industry since 2000 and has significant experience and expertise in application, integration, and enterprise architecture. Vishal is one of the founders of Mypass LMS and CRM at Kprise.com.

Both products are devoted to helping non-profit, small to mid-sized companies, provide custom solutions for their learning and certification needs or managing their out-reach programs in reaching their potential customers. As a consultant for over 15 years Vishal was responsible for the design, development, integration, and deployment of various integrated software and infrastructure solutions for the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) Electronic Grants Administration eRA Grants System. The system provides full life-cycle for electronic receipt, review and administration of grants for extramural biomedical researchers and offers line of business for several Operational Divisions (OPDIVs) within Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) including NIH, Agency for Health Research and Quality (AHRQ), The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) as well as the Veterans Administration (VA), The US Department of Defense (DoD) and the National Science Foundation (NSF).

He has developed, guided and participated in hands-on architectural and implementation work for a large, enterprise level infrastructure in a fast-paced, agile, client-oriented environment. Defined and enforced best practices for new tools and technologies to meet both, new business requirements and evolving technical requirements. Designed, developed and migrated eRA applications to secure AWS Infrastructure and processes supporting it. Spearheaded instituting Infrastructure as Code practices and DevOps pipeline.
